Pride, Purpose and Passion: 100th Anniversary Celebrations Are Underway

We’re having a great time celebrating our 100th anniversary this year. This past month we hosted an employee celebration event with 4,500 of our current and retired employees, dealers and their families. And members of the founding Thomas family showed up for our carnival-themed extravaganza.

A few weeks later, we continued to celebrate with our first appearance in a NASCAR race, where we sponsored Brad Keselowski’s No. 2 Ford Fusion race car in the Toyota Owners 400 in Richmond, Virginia.

Now we’re taking our celebration on the road! We’re gearing up for upcoming industry trade shows, our dealers are prepping for state shows and we’ll be celebrating all year long on our Facebook page.

Take a look at our celebrations so far.

Let’s Go Racin’

We had a blast cheering on Brad Keselowski in the Toyota Owner’s 400 in Richmond, Virginia. That Thomas Built Buses paint scheme was the best-looking car on the track. At least we think so!

Oak Hill Elementary

Thomas Built Buses has been supporting Oak Hill Elementary for the past five years. Through a donation of time and money, our leadership and employees have helped Oak Hill Elementary move from being among the lowest 5% of schools in the state of North Carolina in 2010 to one of the highest performing Title 1 schools in the state and a model for other schools across the nation today.

This month, some students stopped by Thomas Built Buses with the best anniversary gift yet.

Check it out.
