Thomas Built’s Commercial Bus - A Clear Standout from the Competition

Thomas Built Buses’ Transit-Liner® C2, HDX and EFX commercial buses offer comfort, safety, reliability and durability, ease of maintenance and customization.

Thomas Built Buses’ Transit-Liner® C2, HDX and EFX stand out from the competition – and that’s a good thing.

Compared with a sea of fiberglass motor coaches, Thomas Built’s commercial buses aren’t just an accessory for your business. They work hard for you.

Stepping inside of a Thomas Built commercial bus, you’d never know that you are on one of the safest and most durable and reliable buses ever made. From plush seating, luxurious carpeting or laminate hardwood floors, state-of-the-art entertainment technology, LED lighting, panoramic tour windows, bathrooms and more, the interior of a Thomas Built commercial bus can be customized from top to bottom with any option that you choose.

That’s great news for the comfort of your passengers and drivers. But you can get that kind of comfort anywhere. The true value of a Thomas Built bus is what you don’t see. Built from steel for safety and reliability, Thomas Built buses are safe – meeting or exceeding FMVSS standards and built to last – providing up to 15-20 years of proven durability and reliability. Plus, buying a Thomas Built won’t break the bank. You aren’t just buying a great-looking bus, you’re adding true value and proven performance to your business.

Built to be durable, maintenance-friendly and innovative, the Transit-Liner C2 comes equipped with proprietary multiplex wiring that allows for easy configuration and maintenance of all bus components. Plus, Thomas Built factory installs the Zonar V3™ telematics platform directly into the multiplex wiring system so fleets can easily monitor not only engine diagnostics but also the functionality and health of the engine, lights/electrical, chassis and more. Thomas Built buses are easy to maintain, but this added level of state-of-the-art telematics makes maintenance and drivability a breeze.

Taking it one step further, through the BusWise® Technologies suite, the C2 can also be equipped with the latest in safety innovations such as collision avoidance, electronic stability control, 360 degree overhead cameras and more.

The Transit-Liner C2 runs on a Cummins® ISB 200-260 HP engine today, while the Detroit™ DD5™ diesel engine will be available in 2018, which will provide best-in-class efficiency, reliability, emissions control and decreased maintenance. For those seeking an alternative fuel version, the Cummins ISB 6.7 G engine and an 8.0L V-8 LPG engine with liquid propane injection system are available for compressed natural gas and propane buses.

Similarly, the Cummins® ISB 200-260 HP and Cummins® ISB 220-300 HP, ISL 260-300 HP engines are available for the Transit-Liner® EFX and Transit-Liner® HDX respectively. In 2018, the highly anticipated Detroit™ DD8™ will also be available for the Transit-Liner HDX, while the CNG – Cummins ISL G 250-280 HP is available today.
