High Point, N.C. – July 30, 2014 – Thomas Built Buses announces Tracy Mack Askew as the company’s new vice president of engineering. Her responsibilities include design engineering, testing and compliance, along with research and development.
“Tracy’s deep knowledge in both the engineering and management sides of the business makes her a tremendous asset to the Thomas Built team,” said Kelley Platt, president and CEO for Thomas Built Buses. “Tracy is an innovator and a hard worker, who will help to take Thomas Built Buses to even greater heights. Mack-Askew has spent the past 15 years of her career at General Motors as part of their engineering team. Her most recent position was global commodity manager for General Motors. Mack-Askew holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and a Master of Arts degree in management from Harvard University. She will reside in the High Point area with her husband and three children.
