High Point, N.C. – August 1, 2014 – It’s back to school season for students across the country which means freshly sharpened pencils and new school clothes. For 25 million students across the county, back to school also means yellow school buses, which provide them access to quality education every day.
To celebrate riding the school bus back to school and the impact that education makes in the lives of children across the country, Thomas Built Buses is hosting its second annual Back to School Photo Contest.
The photo contest invites parents to submit a photo of their child that best represents the Back to School season. The top five winners will each receive a $2,000 donation for their child’s school.
“We are so excited to host this photo contest again this year,” explains Kelley Platt, President and CEO of Thomas Built Buses. “Our inaugural photo contest was a great success last year with a number of really great submissions that truly showcased the joy of riding a school bus back to school. School buses are such an integral part of student’s lives every day. What a great way to celebrate the excitement and nostalgia of the Back to School season.”
To enter, parents and students aged 18 or older can visit the Thomas Built Buses Facebook page, “Like” the page and enter a photo that best represents the fun, excitement and nostalgia of riding the bus back to school to either elementary, middle, or high school. All photos must depict a school bus.
Entries will be accepted from August 1, 2014 through September 15, 2014. On September 16, the voting period begins for all eligible photos. On October 1, the top 50 winning photos from the popular vote will be reviewed by a panel of independent judges who will choose the top five final winners.
