High Point, N.C. – Thomas Built Buses (TBB) has introduced an optional heated driver’s seat, a first in the industry. The new feature exemplifies the history of market-leading innovations provided by TBB that are focused on driver comfort and passenger safety.
Now available on Type C and D buses, the driver’s seat provides dual zone heating for the lower back and seat areas. A built-in thermostat offers two settings so drivers can choose the level of warmth they prefer, and two carbon fiber heating strips deliver fast, even heat distribution.
“School bus drivers now can enjoy the comfort and benefits of a heated seat,” said Ken Hedgecock, vice president of sales, marketing and service for Thomas Built Buses. “Whether drivers use the heated seat to increase comfort on cold mornings or to soothe aching muscles at the end of a long, hard day, we know they’ll appreciate this feature.”
