With interest across the nation, districts can’t wait to pair the nation’s most popular school bus with electric power.
Equipped with the same vehicle quality, durability, performance, safety and comfort as the popular Saf-T-Liner C2, Jouley has a quiet operation and zero emissions. Plus, Thomas Built Buses is the only OEM to offer schools a comprehensive, turnkey solution of electric school buses, custom-designed DC fast chargers from Proterra, and electrical infrastructure project management.
“We already have orders in hand from a number of school districts with waves of interest coming from others across the United States,” said Edgerly. “As we near commercial production of our electric bus next year, we are continuing to explore additional ways to leverage this new electric powertrain with features and innovations that will make electric school buses even more feasible for the school bus market.”
The commercial production of Jouley begins in 2020.
